Have an iPhone that you are no longer using?
Please consider donating your used iPhone (4 or newer) to The Heart of a Woman Project (THOAW), a women’s mobile photography development initiative.
Your used iPhone will go a long way in helping a woman in need around the world.
Andrea founded The Heart of a Woman Project in May 2013, a small grassroots initiative that partners with non profit organizations to provide education in mobile photography, technology and social media to women and mothers impacted by poverty. It aims to empower women to have a voice, a creative outlet and sustainable income through the sales of photographic art products.
The Pilot Project was implemented in November 2013 at eKhaya eKasi Art & Education Centre in Khayelitsha, a township outside Cape Town, South Africa.THOAW South Africa (#thoawSA) commemorated it’s first anniversary with a photography exhibition and cultural celebration.

A note from Andrea: Thank you for considering donating your used iPhone to a development project I founded. While we certainly appreciate older models such as the 3gs and have created postcards from that model, we are now seeking newer models. Unfortunately the iOS and the primary apps we use are no longer being supported, making the iPhone difficult to use for our income generating purposes in South Africa.
