My Blogging Resources

I’ve put together a list of blogging resources I use to run this and other blogs I publish. I will only list the blogging tools that I personally use and recommend. I commit to keeping this blogging resources page updated. As always, if you have any questions, please free to connect with me.

Website

WordPress

All my websites are created using wordpress but are hosted with a website hosting company rather than on the platform itself. Without getting too much into it at the point, it is better for SEO purposes if you can host a website with your domain of choice. A domain is a URL that is used to find the website. Stay tuned for more information about this.

Host Provider

Bluehost

Bluehost has been my website host provider for andrearees.com for over 10 years and for wanderingiphone.com and The Heart of a Woman Project for 6 years. Bluehost offers domain purchase, a 1-click installation for WordPress, https service, a cpanel, sql, stats and more. It’s affordable and a great option to start your blog with.

Design

Canva

Canva is a graphic design tool that is available online and through their app. A lot of what you can produce is available for free, but if you want more choice, there are paid options as well. It’s a great tool to create graphics for social media, business cards, flyers, presentations and more.

Blogging Tools

Grammarly

Grammarly is a free writing assistant that checks your grammar and spelling, and helps make your posts clear. Grammarly has been an instrumental tool.

Google Analytics

Google analytics is a free metrics tool to analyze your data, learn about your audience, your content and more. It’s an essential blogging tool.

Keysearch

Keysearch is keyword search tool to help you learn what keywords would be effective for your blog posts.

Education

Make Traffic Happen

Make Traffic Happen is a great resource for all things SEO. SEO stands for search engine optimization and is one of the best and “free” ways to get traffic to your blog or website.
